The evening will include the storied history of the seismic past and present that has created the many beautiful geological vistas of the central Italian mountainous area known as Umbria.
The area produces fine white and red wines, and Barbi will be the single supplier of five outstanding wines to be served.
As always, Chef Wesley is going to create a phenomenal dinner menu of Italian delicacies to enjoy with vino of Umbria.
$80 per person includes food, wine, tax, and tip.

Biographies
Kevin B. Hill is a consulting geophysicist with a degree in Geology from LSU. He has been in the oil business for over 40 years, and president of Hill Geophysical Consulting for more than 30 years.
Kevin’s hobby is studying geology around the globe. He explores how the subsurface influences everyday life through agricultural systems that produce food and wine.
He has shared the fruit of his research with the Shreveport Geological Society in an annual dinner meeting for twelve years. The first of these presentations was “How Geology Influences Burgundy Wines.” Kevin has also presented talks on the geology and wine of Oregon, Israel, Paso Robles, Spain, Northern Italy, France, Australia and Texas.
Giuseppe started his career making gelato in Italy. He then worked his way up to Chef. He has been working in the US for over 40 years and is one of the best loved chefs in Shreveport.
