Abstract

What is an expert in the legal context, and how is that different from an expert in the scientific and professional context? What does one need to do to testify as an expert geologist or geoscientist in legal proceedings? What are some common pitfalls or some tips and tricks to help? We’ll look at the law and watch a few excerpts of experts testifying to see what is required, and what can help you shine as an expert in court.
